Car-shopper online resource Edmunds recently held a year-long review of three trucks from three popular brands. The Ford Ranger was one of those trucks and, unsurprisingly, won the year-long comparison near La Grange, TX. While the other two trucks had their positive points, the Ford Ranger won over the Edmunds reviewers.
Comparing the Ford Ranger
The people at Edmunds compared the Ford Ranger to the Toyota Tacoma and Chevy Colorado, both popular, capable midsize trucks around Schulenburg, TX. All three are regularly the top contenders in the midsize truck class, and all recently went through redesigns. So, Edmunds decided to put all three through their Long-Term Road Test, a comparison of how these trucks hold up over time.
Why Edmunds Liked the Ranger
While the Toyota Tacoma and Chevy Colorado took second and third places, respectively, the Ford Ranger came out on top. Why? For many reasons. One reason is that there were a few weaknesses. Another reason is that the Ford Ranger offers the strongest technology setup out of all three trucks. While the other two trucks often felt jittery on the road, the Ford Ranger was comfortable, more SUV-like, and even quiet at highway speeds. All-in-all, the Ford Ranger handled far better over the course of the year.
