The Ford Explorer is powered by two different engine options. These options include a 2.3L four-cylinder engine with 300 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque or a 3.0L V6 engine with 400 horsepower and 415 pound-feet of torque. There are five trims levels on the Ford Explorer, including:

This SUV is powered by a standard 3.5L V6 engine with 375 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque. The highest trim level gets a boost to 400 horsepower and 480 pound-feet of torque. These engines are combined with a 10-speed automatic. Rear wheel drive is standard, but four wheel drive is optional on all of the trims. There are five trim levels on the Ford Expedition.
