What's New in the 2022 Ford Bronco?
The 2022 Ford Bronco returns with the addition of more off-road hardware, a Sasquatch Package for the manual transmission Bronco two- and four-door, and new color options: Hot Pepper Red and Eruption Green. The new hardware includes a capable front-bumper option with integrated fog lights and tow hooks.
The Bronco's interior features a standard 8-inch or an available 12-inch infotainment touchscreen. Standard features found throughout the cabin include a six-speaker stereo, satellite radio, USB ports, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay®, and a push-button start. Available features include additional USB ports, wireless device charging, a remote start, and dual-zone automatic climate control. The two-door Bronco seats up to four people, while the four-door model seats five.
The Bronco is powered by a turbocharged 2.3-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 275 horsepower. You can opt for a turbocharged 2.7-liter V6 engine that generates 315 horsepower. The engines are paired with a standard seven-speed manual or an available 10-speed automatic. Four-wheel drive is standard.
Standard safety features found throughout the Bronco include a rearview camera, forward collision warning, pedestrian detection, and automatic emergency braking. Available safety features include a surround-view parking camera system, front and rear parking sensors, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, and more.
The Ford Bronco is offered in several trims: base, Big Bend, Black Diamond, Outer Banks, Badlands, Wildtrak, and First Edition.
History of the Ford Bronco
The Ford Bronco first debuted in 1966 with three body styles: wagon, pickup, and roadster. It featured an inline-six-cylinder engine along with an available V8 engine. The Bronco lasted until 1996 when Ford discontinued the brand. The Bronco was reintroduced in 2021.
